Puerto Rico has been one of my favorite places to visit in the Caribbean thus far. It is a wonderful place filled with a rich history, rhythmic sounds, and appealing flavors. The beaches are stunning, and the people are friendly and full of life. It is one of those places full of romance and pain that remind you how times change, but how important it is to value our ancestry and heritage. I fell in love with the cuisine, the music and the landscape that merges the natural surroundings with all the historic buildings.

I stayed at the beautiful San Juan Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino, and visited The Castle of San Felipe “El Morro”, Old San Juan where I ate tons of fresh fruit and fish and danced all night long, and kayaked through the bioluminescence lake.  The town is interesting, attractive and energizing. It inspired me to learn more about its culture and the people that feel so proud to belong to Puerto Rico.

  8. I stopped at Puerto Rico on a cruise once but didn’t have a chance to explore much. It looks like a longer stay is in order. There is so much to see and do and lots of history.
