Downtown Las Vegas is a very interesting place. A bit further down from the strip, this area calls for those in search of a different experience in Sin City. Art galleries, cool museums, quirky wedding chapels, locally inspired food, crafted cocktails, and outdoor bars are some of the things that you can enjoy in this part of town. The atmosphere is more relaxed than on the strip, and the hotels have a very nostalgic vibe reminiscing of a more glitzy time on this area.
I have to say that The MOB Museum and The Neon Museum were two of my favorite places to visit. The first has an extensive collection of memorabilia, information, and interactive visuals related to the history of organized crime that goes from Al Capone to El Chapo. While the latter is a huge outdoor exhibit, known as the Boneyard, dedicated to old hotels neon signs which have been restored to bring back memories about how the city used to look like.
