Love, just like beauty and fashion, doesn’t happen overnight. It’s a process that requires to be emotionally open and willing to make sacrifices. Pearls are the best example. They are born from the pain that a grain of salt or sand brings into the oyster; however, instead of allowing the wound to grow, the oyster decides to cover it with nacar and turn the salt into a pearl. Just like in the matters of love, unless we are willing to forgive and heal, we would never be able to create something beautiful.

Sometimes, our salt, could be moving on after a broken heart; perhaps, recognizing that our parents are human and make mistakes; maybe accepting the lost of a loved one. But, most of the time, our biggest struggles are with ourselves.

Forgiving our shortcomings, flaws and wrong decisions, it’s the hardest thing to do. Yet coming to that point brings the biggest reward: giving ourselves the chance to turn negative things into positive ones, heal our wounds, and learn to live and improve so we can create a path to happiness and success.

El verdadero amor, así como la moda y la belleza, no se crea de un día a otro ya que es un proceso que requiere estar emocionalmente abierto y dispuesto a hacer sacrificios. Las perlas son el mejor ejemplo. Ellas nacen del dolor que crea un grano de sal o arena en la ostra, la cual en vez de permitir que la herida crezca, esta la recubre con nácar y así convierte el granito en una perla. Así como en los asuntos del corazón a menos que estemos dispuestos a perdornar y sanar, nunca podremos crear algo hermoso y único.

Algunas veces nuestra sal puede ser superar un corazón lastimado, tal vez reconocer que nuestros padres son humanos y cometen errores, o aceptar la partida de un ser amado de este mundo. Sin embargo, la mayoría de veces nuestra batalla más fuerte es con nosotros mismos. Perdonarnos por nuestros errores, defectos y malas decisiones, es una de las cosas más difícil de hacer. Pero llegar a ese punto de reflexión nos da la oportunidad de convertir las cosas negativas en positivas, sanar heridas, y aprender a vivir y a mejorar para así crear un camino de felicidad y éxito.
