One of the hottest trends of 2013 has been the Lucite heels. We have seen them from the runway to the street, and it shows no sign of stopping. No longer its this trend only for the strip club, yes! I said it!. Now, even the ladies who lunch are strotting down the country club wearing Stella McCartney Lucite wedges or Prada Lucite peep-toe heels.
The addition of this modern and futuristic material has given designers the opportunity to play with shapes, colors, effects like ombre, and even filling. Yes!, Some of them come filled with flowers, crystals and even barbie heads! Yes!, I’ve seen those too! I find it fun, funky and even frugal! They add a cool touch and an edgy vibe to any outfit.
Have you tried this trend? What do you think of Lucite heels, Haute or Not? Remember: It’s Always a Matter of Class Not Cash! ♥Follow Me On Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, Bloglovin & Tumblr: HauteFrugalista♥ Enjoy & Share!

Your comment about the strip club was hilarious, so thanks for providing me with a nice afternoon laugh. 😉 I’m just too tall to pull these off in “real life,” but they are totally gorgeous. I especially like the first shoe pictured, the Stella McCartney black heel.

If i was not writing i would be designing heels for women’s shoes. In fact there is a prototype i drew of heels with springs like the ones on mountain bikes that act as cushion or shock absorbers while walking. of course it would not look like bike shocks. it would look sophisticated. except for the one i design for Lady gaga. ill just put actual bike shockers on the heel.
