Pantone created a leading system 50 years ago that identifies, classifies and matches colors. Every year they pick the IT color which later goes to become a trend, and a must-have in fashion, design and decor. This year, just like The Wizard of Oz, they have chosen to take us back to the Emerald City.

Emerald its one of my favorite colors and a perfect choice to be on the spotlight for many reasons:

* Complements and flatters, literally, every skin color. Regardless if your tone its olive, fair or dark, this color will bring out light to your skin or create a beautiful contrast against it.
 * Goes from day-to-night easily because it’s a deep and sophisticated hue. For summer and fall, it’s the ideal replacement for black.
 * Brings serenity and tranquility. It’s known that color therapy works as a way to change moods. Emerald its a tone that reflects greenery and nature, making you feel peaceful and stress free.
 * Easy to Mix and Match with neons, pastels, neutrals and bold colors. This hue works, as well as black, navy, brown or beige, with other tones because of its richness, so feel free to use it as a basic.

Here are some great ways to incorporate Emerald in your wardrobe! All under $50! Are you a fan of emerald? Have you updated your wardrobe with pieces from this hue?
