I had the pleasure and honor of attending the Make-A-Wish Ball benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation of South Florida. The theme was Bollywood, and as expected, the decor and ambience were a true reflection of beautiful India. The Make-A-Wish Foundation it’s a cause very close to my heart. I firmly believe that giving children the opportunity to smile and fulfill a dream its one of the most selfless things a person can do. Seeing a sick child battling a deadly disease, with a smile on their face and their spirit uplifted, it’s simply priceless. As a mom myself, I can only imagine and be compassionated, about fellow parents hurt when having to see their child go through medical treatments and painful recoveries.

I can only dream about been lucky enough to Make a child’s Wish one day! There are so many ways to get involved with this organization and helping children, and their families, receive much deserved good news! For all my readers, and friends not living in SoFla, there are other Make-A-Wish chapters which you can reach out to and volunteer your time for. It’s as easy as to promote awareness about this wonderful cause with a tweet, Facebook status, sharing stories, referring children to the org and even sharing this post!

FRUGALICIOUS OOTN/ ATUENDO DE LA NOCHE:

I chose an elegant Cinderella style black beaded gown with colorful accesories. Bollywood inspired make-up, with defined cheeks and eyes, and deep red lips! My nails had 3 layers of the most used Indian hues: Purple, Fuchsia and Orange/ Escogí un vestido negro muy a lo Cenicienta con accesorios coloridos. Maquillaje inspirado en Bollywwod con ojos y mejillas definidas, y labios rojo profundo. Mis uñas tenían 3 capas de los colores más usados en India: morado, fuchsia y naranja.

Hola Mis Amigos!!

Tuve el honor y placer de atender la gala a beneficio de la Fundación Make-A-Wish del Sur de la Florida (Concede-Un-Sueño). El tema del evento fué Bollywood y la decoración y ambiente fue una reflección de la belleza de India. La Fundación Make-A-Wish apoya una causa muy cercana a mi corazón y en la cual creo firmemente. El poder darle a un niño la posibilidad de sonreír y alcanzar un sueño es una de las cosas más desapegadas que alguién puede hacer. Ver un pequeño luchar contra una enfermedad peligrosa y sin embargo mantener una sonrisa y su espíritu elevado, son cosas que no tienen precio. Como mamá simplemente me puedo imaginar, y ser compasiva, acerca del dolor por el que pasan los padres de un niño que tiene que pasar por tratamientos médicos y dolorosas recuperaciones.

Solo puedo soñar en tener el placer de conceder un sueño a un pequeño algun día! Hay muchísimas maneras de involucrarse con esta fabulosa organizaciôn, y así poder ayudar a estos niños y sus familias a recibir muy merecidas buenas noticias. Para mis lectores y amigos que no se encuentran en el Sur de la Florida, Make-A-Wish tiene sedes en otros lugares a los que pueden contactar para donar su tiempo. Es muy fácil promover esta causa y atraer atención sobre ella: Un simple tweet, estatus en Facebook, compartir los enlaces o este articulo, o referir pequeños a la organización, pueden hacer una diferencia!
