It’s the beginning of a new week and what better way to start it than by indulging on Marvelous Mode! On the Monday part of my Haute Series, you will find up & coming and established designers, the latest collections straight from the runways and my review on my fave fashion looks!

I’m going to begin with Jason Wu! The uber-femenine designer went for a more edgy and sexy look on his Spring 2013 Ready-To-Wear Collection. The designs were a bit dominatrix in a sophisticated way, with the combination of lace and leather as the main character, on this Helmut Newton inspired line.

I chose these designs because they are the epithomy of sexy, edgy and chic. The collection included dresses, evening gowns, separates and jumpsuits. The necklines were rather high with delicate cut-outs, giving a femenine flare to the ensembles. The color scheme of choice was neutrals (black/white/beige) with a few navy and bright red pieces.

Feliz Feliz Lunes!!

Es el principio de la semana y que mejor manera de comenzarla que dandonos el gusto de disfrutar Marvelous Mode o la Moda Maravillosa! En esta sección semanal de mi Haute Series, o Serie de Alta Costura, encontrarás diseñadores emergentes y establecidos, lo último de la moda directo de las pasarelas mundiales y una crítica acerca de mis estilos favoritos.

Esta semana voy a comenzar con Jason Wu. Este diseñador, amante de lo femenino, escogió algo más atrevido y sexy para su colección de confección primavera 2013. Los diseños dan un aire dominante pero con un estilo muy sofisticado y clásico. La combinación de encaje y cuero fué la protagonista principal de esta line inspirada por Helmut Newton.

Escogí estos diseños porque son la epitomía de sexy y chic pero sin perder la clase. La colección incluyó vestidos, trajes de noche, piezas separadas y enterizos. El estilo de cuello fué un tanto alto con cortes geométricos delicados, lo cual ayudó a mantener la femeneidad en los diseños. La esquema de colores fué neutrales (blancos, negros y beiges), con algunas piezas en azul y rojo.
