Playing with Neutrals at the TRESemmé MBFW Lounge

One of the best parts of attending a week-long event such as Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week its been able to visit the different beauty and technology lounges inside the Lincoln Center. TRESemmé gave away products from their Keratin Smooth and Platinum Strength collection and had a fun photo-booth with super cute props. However, the most special part was that they invited my fave celebrity stylist Marco Peña, Latin ambassador of TRESemmé, so he could create gorgeous looks at the Jenny Packman, Tracy Reese and Nanette Lepore runway shows!

How lucky must I be, that TRESemmé invited me to their Beauty Lounge so Marco could style my hair! Marco Pena created a straight look with a flat iron but not before using Keratin Infusing Heat Protection & Shine Spray, which protects hair from the damaging effects of extreme heat. I was beyond happy because the spray obviously left my long locks looking smooth, shiny, healthy and polished! Hola Mis Amigos!

Una de las mejores cosas de atender un evento como Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York es poder visitar las diferentes estaciones de belleza y Tecnología dentro del Lincoln Center. Este año los patrocinadores TRESemmé regalaron productos de las líneas Keratin Smooth y Platinum Strength y pusieron una foto-cabina que imprimía las fotos enseguida. Sin embargo, lo más especial fue que invitaron a mi estilista de las celebridades preferido: Marco Peña, embajador latino de Tresemme, para que creara espectaculares peinados en las pasarelas de Jenny Packman, Tracy Reese y Nanette Lepore.

Para mi gran fortuna, TRESemmé me invito para que Marco me dejara fabulosa! Marco Pena me peino con una plancha de cabello para dejar mi indomable melena lisa, pero no sin antes utilizar el Keratin Infusing Heat Protection & Shine Spray, el cual ayuda a proteger el cabello contra los efectos dañinos del estilizado a base de calor. Obviamente este spray hace maravillas porque dejo mi cabello luciendo brillante, saludable, liso y sedoso! It has been an incredible week and I can’t wait to share all the amazing trends, runway shots, interviews, and of course, outfits! The street-style that I saw was unbelievable. From bold colors to ridiculously high heels, the trend-setters took Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York by storm (literally) and battled out the awful Nemo blizzard in style! I could not stay behind, and although I must admit the weather ruined some of my choice of footwear, I had a great time enjoying the shows and the ambience.

Hola Frugalistas!!

Ha sido una semana increible y no puedo esperar para compartir todas las tendecias para otoño, las fotos desde la pasarela, entrevistas y por supuesto todos mis atuendos! Desde colores fuertes hasta tacones terriblemente altos los fashionistas que atendieron Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week no dejaron que la terrible tormenta Nemo los alejara de la moda ni de mostrar sus mejores vestimentas! Yo no me oude quedar atras, y apesar que el clima me obligó a escoger distintos zapatos, me divertí muchísimo admirando los shows y el ambiente.

It has been an intense week! Beautiful New York City received me with open arms and an immense amount of snow; however, that has not stopped this Haute Frugalista from attending the most amazing runway shows and fashion presentations inside and outside the Lincoln Center.

Art Basel Miami Beach 2012 was an incredible experience. The art, the designs, the parties and also the fashion. During this time of the year, fashionistas and jet-setters come to Miami to showcase their most daring and artsy outfits, and enjoy the cool weather.

Ludovika Koch is a young fashion designer and model who really caught my eye. Her creative and inspiring designs are innovative and very reminiscent of the androgynous pieces from Jean Paul Gauthier and Christian Dior. Despite of been so young, Koch is a very creative and innovative girl who knows how to use different materials, textures and artistic techniques to create fashion masterpieces. Her talent its undeniable and her fascination with vibrant colors, flora and fauna make her designs very romantic, feminine and sophisticated.
