I have to admit it: Jeremy Scott is one of my favorite people in the fashion industry. American Express spoiled me with an exclusive invite to MADE Fashion Week at Milk Studios for a fun afternoon of hair styling, delish bites, and A-list fashion! I wore my fave Express black/white tweed slacks and white silk top, with a Burlington Coat Factory black leather jacket, and a Style Mafia hula hoop bag. There I had the chance to meet him and interview him for the BeKind Nov issue of BELLO Magazine. I’m more than excited to share the cover feature with hottie Colin O’Donoghue from Once Upon A Time!

Jeremy’s collaboration with Miley Cyrus came in a very organic way because they are friends, so when he mentioned how she should design jewelry for the show, she agreed in a heartbeat! Continue reading

Visiting New York is always one my favorite things to do. The atmosphere, the architecture, the fashion, everything is an ode that speaks to my heart. This year Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week did not disappoint. The collections were fabulous, the weather was gorgeous, and the events were never-ending. I love this flower set from PrettyODD Boutique because it has a fun yet chic print, and the delicate sheer panels make it look sexy without been revealing at all. Since it was a bit chilly I decided to incorporate the GUESS Fur vest which definitely added a touch of glam to the outfit. It was perfect look to attend the gorg BCBGMaxAzria morning show, because is the easiest way to take summer looks, and transition them into fall. Finished it off with my new Tory Burch sunniesBCBGMaxAzria gunmetal cutch, H&M Crystal necklace, and Coach wedges.

This is a paid campaign in collaboration with JOHNSON’S® NO MORE TANGLES® and Latina Bloggers Connect, but all opinions and experiences are my own!

About a month ago I was asked by JOHNSON’S® Baby to be part of their NO MORE TANGLES® Mother & Daughter video campaign. It was truly an honor to be requested for this wonderful initiative, but as a mom who tries to keep her kids’ privacy, I had to give it some thought. I’m sure many moms go through the same concerns with the easy social media access; however, after some thought, I knew this was something we had to do! I mean, who can say no to a partnership with a family brand like JOHNSON’S®, and to spending a fun mommy & me day? Sophie and I love creating fun braids, buns and ponytails because they are the ideal look for this hot season, so this project was a perfect fit for us.

The World Cup 2014, hosted in Brazil, is the most relevant sports event. Every 4 years we get the chance to showcase our national pride.  As a Colombian, I live and breathe Futbol! I might not play it, God knows I’m not athletic at all, but I enjoy it as much as if I was on the field. This year, after a 16 year absence, I had the honor to cheer for Colombia, shed tears when hearing the anthem and seeing the stadium painted yellow with our jersey, watch the world love our team, enjoy our players dance to every goal, and hear the admiration for our James Rodriguez. We didn’t win the Cup, but in the eyes and hearts of every one, we are winners!

I was raised to love the game, to be in awe of its constants twists and turns, and to feel the passion for our team. There isn’t a winner until the last second has been played. That’s what I love about soccer the most. You leave your heart, soul and body out there, and the winner will only be the one who wants it the most, who fights for it the most, and who gives it all for their team.
