Everyone knows I’m a mom, and a very proud one! I love my kids. They are my everything. The ymake me laugh, they’ve made me grow, and they teach me something new every day; but, overall, they just fill my life with pure and inexplicable joy. Even when I’m upset or tired, I still feel that happiness inside. However, kids can take a toll on a mom’s life, specially on their body. So, after seeing the growing #Mombod trend, I got inspired to come out of my shell and finally wear a bikini after 3yrs in hiding. I mean, how could I say no to swimming with fishes and turtles during my trip to St Kitts Marriott Resort and Royal Beach Casino and Nevis Island?

Was I going to miss that just because I was afraid of exposing my stretchies? I decided to finally wear that gorgeous Trina Turk swimsuit that had collected dust for the past 3 years, and jump on the water! I gotta say: It was life changing! Read the full story on Mom.Me. I have written beauty, parenting and mom life articles for the site, and I have to say that they have given me an outlet where to express myself in a different way. Continue reading

As a proud Colombian, I consider Cartagena one of the most special places to visit. The colorful streets, the fresh fruits and seafood, the history behind the city and its walls, and the never-ending nightlife are some of the things I enjoy when I go there. During my last trip to Cartagena, I went to meet the new TPC Cartagena at Karibana Golf and Beach Resort. The luxury spot gives you an exclusive view of the water from the hills of the golf course. For my outfit in “La Ciudad Amurallada” I had to represent my roots, so I paired an Express crop top with an abstract-printed soft denim skirt from Colombian designer Jose Cuello. I really liked his designs because he knows how to mix bright colors and bold prints in light fabrics, with incredible style and class. Even though it was extremely hot- thank God for cold coconuts-, a traditional sombrero vueltiao’ was the ideal addition to my look.

Visiting Paris for Fashion Week is one of my favorite things to do, and having the chance to see so many collections up-close, is definitely a dream come true. The Palace of Versailles is always a must go-to place for many reasons. It is an enchanting spot that makes you feel in between the old and new world. It reminds you of the beauty and decadence, and the tragedy behind one of the most beautiful places in France.

You can breathe and feel the history and the love that accompanies the tumultuous story of Napoleon and Marie Antoinette.

I think this transfers to fashion. There is a reason why French women are notable for their effortlessly chic way of dressing. They mix textures, patterns and colors without fear, but with plenty of class. The level of craftsmanship and attention to details seeing on a Parisian runway are above anything you could imagine. Even up-and-coming designers work with a standard of perfection and sophistication that do not need to be called Couture in order to look and feel like they are.
