When it comes to beauty there isn’t a better thing than going the all-natural route. The antioxidants, vitamins and nutrients found in fruits like coconut, aloe vera, cucumber, avocado, grapes and watermelon, among others, have been proven to be potent enough to reverse the damages caused by aging, sun exposure and pollution. During a press event at Mandarin Oriental, beautiful place by the way, I was able to try CVS’s exclusive line Nuance Salma Hayek, all while been pampered with spa treatments.

Breakfast at Tiffany’s and Audrey Hepburn were a match made in Hollywood heaven.  Holly Golightly, played by Hepburn, is one of the most iconic characters in film history. The carefree New York “socialite”, seduced the audience with her pearls, diamonds and cigarette holder, all wrapped in the most sought-after piece of clothing of all times: The Little Black Dress. Even 50 years later, the imagery and styling of this movie it’s still relevant and influential in the world of fashion and beauty, and I could not miss the opportunity to play dress-up for a day!

The current style market has become over saturated with designers and labels. Even though the mass production of on-trend pieces has made fashion accessible to everyone, it has also taken the uniqueness factor out of the equation. The access to light-speed technology has made consumers more aggressive about the rapid acquisition of their desired goods, making craftiness take a back seat over shipping deadlines. That its one of the reasons why I felt so delighted and impressed when I walked into the Thale Blanc preview at the Trump International in New York. The view was breathtaking and it complemented perfectly the beautiful designs Deborah Sawaf, creator of Thale Blanc, had laid out across the suite.
