The Great Gatsby its one of my favorite books. Since the 1st time I read it, the story and the characters truly captivated me. I was a Daisy dreaming of finding my own Gatsby one day. At that moment I was about 13yrs old and a lot has changed ever since; however, I have not lost my fascination for the decadent and opulent 1920′s era. About a year ago in Electric Gatsby I referred to this amazing piece of literature.

The upcoming release of the movie will only bring more attention to flapper dresses, bejeweled headbands, hats, chunky diamonds and short hair. El Gran Gatsby es uno de mis libros preferidos. Desdebla primera vez que lo leí su historia y los personajes me cautivaron y llevaron a sentirme como Daisy en busca de su propio Gatsby. En ese momento apenas tenía 13 años y much ha cambiado pero mi fascinación por esa era decadente y opulenta no la he perdido. Lee mas en mi artículo anterior Electric Gatsby. I love sharing my beauty tips, tricks and things that make my routine easier and effective. As you know, when it comes to skin care, I’m all about products that improve your complexion, give you glowing skin and bring back the youthful look. During my trip to New York all my beauty essentials were tested in a major way, mainly due to the harsh weather my skin had to endured, and the lack of time to get ready. Thankfully Olay sent me, about a month before my trip, the new Total Effects CC Cream Color Correcting.

Merging a primer, foundation, moisturizer and sunscreen in one? Best idea after the wheel! As a mom-on-the-go, whose time to get ready its always shortened by the kids’ needs, I’m beyond appreciative of having my beauty routine reduced without compromising the overall look. Since trying it, I don’t leave the house without my Olay Total Effects CC Cream because its lightweight, works as a tinted moisturizer, helps even out my skin tone, reduces fine lines (lord knows we all fight against those), and gives me a natural glow. If I’m doing a photo or video shoot, then I layer it under my Chanel foundation for more coverage, and to avoid using extra product!

Me encanta compartir mis consejos, trucos y productos de belleza que hacen mi rutina más fácil y efectiva. Para mí lo mas importante es confiar en aquellos que mejoran la complexión, dan luminosidad y te ayudan a recuperar la juventud de la piel. Durante mi viaje a Nueva York mis productos de belleza fueron puestos a prueba con el duro clima y la falta de tiempo para arreglarme. Afortunadamente Olay me envió un mes antes de mi viaje la nueva Crema CC, o correctora de color, Efectos Totales.

Combinar un fijador de maquillaje, base, humectante y bloqueador solar en uno? La mejor idea después de la rueda! Como soy una mamá que siempre está ocupada, el tiempo para arreglarme se acorta debido a las necesidades de mis niños, así que me siento agradecida cuando puedo tener una rutina más rápida sin tener que sacrificar el lucir bien! Desde que comenzé a utilizar la Crema CC Total Effects de Olay no dejo la casa sin colocármela ya que es ligera, sirve como humectante con color, ayuda a mejorar las manchas en la piel, reducir las lineas finas (las cuales todas queremos combatir!), y además da una luminosidad natural. Si hago una sesión de fotos y estoy filmando un video entonces la uso antes de mi base de maquillaje Chanel para obtener mayor cobertura sin tener que usar mucho producto.

It has been an incredible week and I can’t wait to share all the amazing trends, runway shots, interviews, and of course, outfits! The street-style that I saw was unbelievable. From bold colors to ridiculously high heels, the trend-setters took Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York by storm (literally) and battled out the awful Nemo blizzard in style! I could not stay behind, and although I must admit the weather ruined some of my choice of footwear, I had a great time enjoying the shows and the ambience.

Hola Frugalistas!!

Ha sido una semana increible y no puedo esperar para compartir todas las tendecias para otoño, las fotos desde la pasarela, entrevistas y por supuesto todos mis atuendos! Desde colores fuertes hasta tacones terriblemente altos los fashionistas que atendieron Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week no dejaron que la terrible tormenta Nemo los alejara de la moda ni de mostrar sus mejores vestimentas! Yo no me oude quedar atras, y apesar que el clima me obligó a escoger distintos zapatos, me divertí muchísimo admirando los shows y el ambiente.

There are times in our life when we must give ourselves a break. Pampering myself has never been one of my priorities, although my back would say it should!, so planning a spa day has never been on the top of my list. When I was, fortunately and luckily, approached by Eden Roc Renaissance in Miami Beach to enjoy a day at their ELLE Spa I couldn’t resist!

The ELLE Spa at Eden Roc Renaissance its everything you would expect and desire from a 5 star hotel. It is the 1st, and only, Spa curated by the editors from ELLE Magazine, so every treatment and décor has been carefully chosen from the best by the best. The Spa has a Roman inspired vibe that allows guests to feel relaxed and welcomed, but what its most alluring about ELLE Spa are their unique treatments. Everything its tailored to your needs, skin type and mood, making the time there a personal experience, not to mention the views are breathtaking!

I loved their customizable organic Scrub Bar by Red Flower. You choose the type of Atlantic sea salt, between fine or coarse, and the organic oils you want in it. I chose fine salt and lavender oil, an incredible mix, which will leave your skin renewed and your spirit reinvigorated! I enjoyed an ELLE Spa Total Relaxation massage, hot stones and all, that was coordinated to suit my body’s level of stress, meaning major!, which  The use of Chromotheraphy, along with a healing combo from Red Flower of lemon, bergamot, mandarin, grapefruit, and ylang-ylang blended with avocado, monoi, and olive oils, allowed me to relief my tension and recharge my energies. I cannot rave enough about this place! They have a full spa, gym, beauty salon and a rooftop lounge with delicious dishes to enjoy while reading the latest fashion news or watching TV on a private cabana.

Hay momentos en nuestras vidas en las que debemos darnos un descanso. Consentirme a mí misma nunca ha sido una de mis prioridades a pesar que mi esoalda me pide lo contrario, así que planear un día para ir al Spa no estaba en mi lista de cosas por hacer. Sin embargo cuando afortunadamente fuí invitada por el Hotel Eden Roc Renaissance en Miami Beach para disfrutar de su ELLE Spa no me pude resistir!

El ELLE Spa en el Eden Roc Renaissance excede las expectativas de lo que podrías esperar de un Spa en un Hotel 5 estrellas. Es el 1er y único Spa donde todos los productos y la decoración han sido cuidadosamente escogidos por los editores de la revista ELLE Magazine. El Spa tiene una vibra Romana que permite a los visitantes sentirse relajados y bienvenidos, sin embargo, lo más atrayente del ELLE Spa son sus excepcionales tratamientos. Cada cosa es medida al gusto, tipo de piel y necesidades individuales de los huéspedes con el próposito de que puedan tener una experiencia gratificante, sin mencionar que el paisaje es impresionante!

Me encantó el Scrub Bar, o Bar Exfoliador, orgánico por Red Flower. Puedes escoger el tipo de sal del Atlántico, entre fina y gruesa, y los aceites orgánicos que se ajusten a tus preferencias. Yo elegí una sal fina con aceite de lavanda la cual es una mezcla genial para dejar la piel renovada y el espíritu revitalizado. Disfruté del ELLE Spa Total Relaxation Massage (masage de relajación total) con piedras calientes, el cual fué individualizado para el nivel de estrés de mi cuerpo. El uso de la Cromoterapia y la mezcla sanativa de Red Flower de limón, bergamota, mandarina, toronja e ylang-ylang con aceites de aguacate, monoi y oliva me ayudó a aliviar mi tensión y reactivar mis energías. No hay suficentes palabras para poder expresar lo maravilloso que és el ELLE Spa. Además que tienen un full Spa, Gimnasio, Salón de Belleza y Lounge con cabañas privadas en la terraza-azotea donde puedes deleitarte con deliciosos platos mientras lees o ves TV.
